Hello, Internet! Welcome to the inaugural post of the Art of Lex Chase. I’m your one and only host, Lex! As you know, I’m an author with Dreamspinner Press, but did you know I’m a commission artist as well? Yes, indeed! If you want custom art for covers, swag, blog tours, branding, whatever your heart desires, I’m the artist you’re looking for!
Lisa was so nice to invite me here once a month to reveal a new piece as well as a little of what I’m working on. So, today, we have a twofer!
First, do you love Yuri on Ice? Who doesn’t! Have our beloved history maker Yuri Katsuki, as the sexiest pork cutlet bowl. I had a lot of fun with this one, and it’ll be part of a trio with Victor and Yurio. Going to Animazement? I’ll have prints available!
Now, for the extra sneak peek. I am a massive Hannibal fan (aka Fannibal) and I can never communicate on Twitter or Facebook without inserting a Hannibal gif. The crew at Hannibal Cre-ATE-Ive proposes themed events for our happy perky fandom of a grotesquely beautiful show. We’re weird like that.
This month is Hannibal Odyssey, and this time the theme is to take our favorite cannibal and his true love FBI agent and reinterpret them in a sci-fi/fantasy setting. Inspired by my love of anime and manga, I decided to go balls-to-the-wall fantasy with it. So here we have a work-in-progress snippet of Chaos Mage Berserker Will Graham.
What else do I have in store for the piece? Can we say Paladin Hannibal Lecter and Blood Princess Abigail Hobbs? Check out the full reveal of The Knight and Nakama tomorrow at my blog!
Like what you see? Looking for something a little special for yourself or a friend? Cover designs? Promo art of your boys or girls? Blog Tour graphics? Character designs? That smutty art of Pokemon Go’s Professor Willow you’ve always wanted but didn’t know who to ask? (Oh please, please, pleeeeeeease someone ask!) Check out my work and price list at Lexchase.com!
Pop culture, comics, anime, and…cannibals?
These are a just a few things that go through Lex Chases head at any given moment. As an author, she specializes in stories of action, adventure, and broken yet true love. As an artist, she makes no apologies for drawing Hannibals Hannigram all the time.
Writing about boys who put the massively fun in massively dysfunctional, and drawing characters with questionable moralsor the precious cinnamon roll with questionable moralsgives her great pleasure. Lex knows everyone has a vice, and shes willing to put stylus to tablet for yours.
Lex is open to all kinds of commissions from promo art, to swag, to social media graphics, covers, branding, posters, prints, and gifts for fans or yourself!
