Cheers, friends and fellow book rebels! Welcome to Banned Books Week 2017, the one week out of every year that we show our appreciation for the American Library Association, the Office for Intellectual Freedom, and our freedom to read challenged and banned books.
Once again I want to extend my deepest gratitude to not only the authors who’ve participated in the giveaways during Banned Books Week, but to every single author out there who shares their craft and their characters and their worlds with us.
“Censorship thrives in silence. Silence is its aim.”
In the past year, we’ve lost two integral voices in the LGBTQ writing community, authors Eric Arvin and, more recently, Paul Alan Fahey. Their loss continues to echo across the community in their absence, but their voices continue to be celebrated through the written word. In honor of them and their contribution to equality and diversity and love, I’ll be offering a choice of e-books from each of their backlists.
Today’s Grand Prize Virtual Gift Basket comes to you courtesy of the following authors ~ Good Luck!
Carole Cummings – A backlist e-book, and the winner’s choice (e-book or paperback) of one of the LGBTQ books on this year’s challenged/banned list: This One Summer, Drama, George, I Am Jazz, or Two Boys Kissing
