Blurb: Stopping to offer help one sultry summer night, Mason James is unprepared for the change that this simple act of kindness will bring. After giving an old man a ride home, Mason discovers a new, magical, and even dangerous world he cannot hope to understand. But he also finds Luc Toussaint and is intoxicated at first sight… and even the secret Luc protects won’t be enough to keep Mason away from the truth of his heritage and their love.

Review: Well, there is a lot of information packed into this one hour and fifty-seven minutes. It was hard to keep up, so I ended up buying the eBook just so I could keep my facts straight.
Having said that, I have to say I loved the story. It was sexy, dark and raw. The scene between Mason and Luc were very intense, hold your breath intense. A favorite part of the book, besides the sex scenes, was when Luc said to Mason, “You astound me. You have joined with a beast,” and then goes on to say, “By joining with me, you agree to be bound to me until I take my last breath.” Mason’s reply, “Nuh-uh, but we can date and see where it goes.” So funny!
Greg Tremblay’s narration is spot-on. Wow, he added so much to the intensity to the story. He gave it texture by varying his pace, using a slower pace when narrating Mason’s voice, and a punched-up delivery for the voice of Luc.
You really can’t go wrong with a Mary Calmes audiobook. I can’t wait for Chevalier, the second book in the series, to be recorded. This time I will be ready, having purchased the book first.
